That looks totally fantastic. What joints did you use and how did you do it? I definitely will want to imitate your work. Whether I'm able is another story...
thanks :) i used revoltech 4mm joints i got off of ebay, first was to just slice the knees and elbows off with a scalpel. drill with a dremel a spot for the joint and i used superglue, so they is not 360 degrees of rotation but movies forward adn backwards if i can ever help lemme know. im no professional but ill help out any way i can
Ah I really appreciate the offer and I'll surely be asking you for advice if I muster the courage to try something like this. I toyed with the idea of buying a few Kraangs so that I could use two flat feet (if that's even feasible) and I don't mind the idea of owning a few extra squishy brains. I've looked into Revoltech joints before, but never have actually tried any.
i say go for it, take the plunge, we all mess up on a few...well alot :) gotta learn and practice somewhere. here are the joints i bought, i would recommend getting a size larger than the 4mm, this is my first custom adding joints and i think bigger wouldve been a little better
i think they look just a teeeny bit too small, i think the 6 or possibly 8mm might be a better look, the 4mm work fine for the elobow but i think a lil bigger for the knees
i purchased splinter and april tonight at target and bought 6 and 8mm joints from the same seller
Can I take that to mean you plan on adding joints to those too? I can't wait to see that. There was a guy who put Star Wars Ahsoka knees on his April, and it looks really good.
It could pretty much pass for factory, huh? What I can't tell is if he managed to include rotation, too. I think he plans to try elbows, but is held up trying to locate how deeply the swivel pegs in her arms reach.
I'm gonna keep checking your blog on lookout for your Splinter and April.

Oh wow, thanks! What's your regret with the size you ordered? Is it about looks, or function?
